Hall of Heroes. Europe Unite.
The Koreans do it. The Americans do it. We don't seem to. Why? What is this i am talking about? Simple: in scenarious where there are multiple European teams against Korea or America, Europe should work together. Personally i have never seen this happen. Never.
I write this in response to what happened a while back, and it still irritates me. Got to HoH and the team i was in was battleing it out with a Korean Guild team. The other team was European. A french Guild team. Did our team and them work together to beat off the Koreans, to ensure Europe got the Favor? No. Of course not: The team i was in was winning. We had the Koreans down to the last two men, a E/Me and a W/Mo if i remember. Then the good old French ran in and wiped us out while we were weakened. While they were doing this, the Koreans built themselves back up. Then they destroyed the French. Korea one step closer for the Favor.
Our team tried to speak to the French, to get our message of temporal alliance across. It went unheeded, no response was forth coming. We assumed this because they were French, and could not speak English. Was this the case? No. It wasn't. Because when the arrogant bastards killed us, they insulted us. In perfect English.
Does this happen with Korean and American teams? Not that i've seen.
We need to work together!! I've noticed we've only been getting the Favor about once a day, compared to Koreans pretty much ALL day!
Just had to get my little rant out...

I wouldn't even dream of teaming up with another European team. It's just not sportsmanlike. In your situation, the French team was in the right to crush you when you were winning. It'd take the strongest team out of the game, and leave only a shattered team (hopefully with some still dead) to mop up.

I think you missed the point of the topic, he's not talking about the organisation and the strategy of the continent, but team up with other people in maps like Burials, to kill other teams.
Like 2 europe team teamup to kill the last Korean team.

While I commiserate with europe having favor less than the other two realms, I think it would be pretty stupid if two teams were to team up in pvp. First, if you expect to hold the hall, you should have a defensive enough build that you can survive continued onslaught by two teams, also, a lot of teams that go into tombs couldn't go less about favor - I know I don't, but I'm PvPing ni there - and they only want the fame/faction/items/name broadcast, or whatever. I would just as soon kill an American team to take the dias, and take my chances against another (be they Korea, America, or Europe), in the hopes of winning, rather than assisting the holding team against one attacker, and losing to them because they can hold the dias vs. only one team.

Sportmanlike? i think it's more like, team up with other eropean just to crush all the other continent team, to give Europe even more chance to go to the HoH and get favor more often.
It's like in F1 racing, you're teamate will let you pass before him and try to block the other because if you win, you finish ranked #1 while he could have only finish #X.

Eddie Izzard said it best, ""I do like the French, but they can be kind of ... French."
You'd think with the low amount of favor Europe has held, that they'd at least go "Hrm, maybe we should help our boys waiting at Temple of Ages".

They can help themselves. I think most of the British must have gone to the American world, because there's none of the British spirit on the European one. It's all poncing around and hoping some big, strong lads will open their precious Fissure of Woe for them. Eating baguettes and taking siestas. Bloody continentals.

Maybe it had something to do with WWII, but that would only be true if it was a german team

Eurpoeon teams scare me more then Korean teams. With korean team you know where you stand.. but the eupeons.. I find they are eitehr REALLY good, or REALLY bad. There doesn't seem to be a middle line. i agree that europe should work together a bit mroe though. I've seen them winning the HoH and gaining favor quite a bit latley so I assume that they are finnaly starting to come around

The fact is Europe doesn't team up in guild teams for the HoH as much as the other countries. That's what it seems like to me as I am fed up of random invites into unorganised teams as soon as I enter the tomb.

European teams from different nations will rarely team up. Europe is lumped in with the US and Korea, too many language problems and long-standing national rivalries exist, I'm afraid.

that might be true, but to be honest, most of the euro serve peeps in general dislike or even hate eachother as a nation.
its like there are certain areas of france that, if you want to, as a brit, you can settle in, but if you go further up or whatever direction the guy telling me this meant, you will be treated like Merde, because they prefer the germans
maybe the team fwas from that reigon fo france, or wanted only their name to be flashed across the servers.
i would personaly help out a team that was from euro if i were in those types of bettles.i am a great preferer of
'the enemy of my enemy is my friend....till they try to off me, in which case its time to call Edward '

I've never noticed this, apart from harmless joking (as in, no real hatred), not in any online game. Everybody from the various European countries gets on really well. I, a Brit, have been warmly greeted in parties that were entirely French, entirely German, and even partied with a Guild of Swedes (who were polite enough to speak English). Today's generation (the late teens and early twenties) don't seem to suffer from the blind racism of our elders.

And as a Geordie, I've not once been given any grief by Londoners, Scots, or Irish. I can't remember the last time I heard someone slag off anyone from another British region. But then, I live in a mining community, and everyone here is so kind you could brick their windows and they'd ask you in for a cup of tea and a biscuit.

gee, then i want to move to geordiland
i cant spend a week out in the real world without *someone* who is under 25 spouting racist drek to or at me.
you might have been very lucky, or very carefull when it comes to partying up, im not sure, or we might have been very lucky or unlucky, depending on PoV i guess.
ture, i have only had joking going on between brits of area, but then, im not that big on parties...just like i havent had a single person draw unmentionables on my screen
(i would be tempted, if the pics stayed on and dint decay, to draw something to wind *them* up if i could work out what would, unless the opposite drawing would make them cry uncle hehe....maybe draw a condom and write 'safe sex!' heheh ? )
